‘Theory of Everything’ Star Eddie Redmayne Now Married to Hannah Bagshawe
In an enchanting candlelit wedding ceremony, “The Theory of Everything” star Eddie Redmayne finally ties the knot with Hannah Bagshawe, his fiancée of nearly three years.
After months of preparation since the groom’s proposal during the Memorial Day weekend back in May, Redmayne and Bagshawe were finally married on Dec. 15, 2014 in an evening ceremony at Babington House in Somerset, England, as revealed by a source to Us Weekly.
Due to the actor’s busy schedule as of late, Redmayne let his bride take the lead on planning their wedding. According to a close friend of the groom, he’s happy in letting Bagshawe take the lead, as long as the wedding is kept as a small, intimate affair.
According to MailOnline, the couple chose a “Winter Wonderland” theme, which is reported by The Sun newspaper to be produced by the special effects team of a private country club. The Sunday wedding proceeded at 5:30 p.m. local time, with the couple saying their vows as they were surrounded by their family and friends.
The romantic wedding became another fulfilled wish for Redmayne. Shortly before the wedding, he was informed of his being nominated for the Screen Actors Guild and the Golden Globe Awards as Best Actor for his performance in “The Theory of Everything.” It is also rumored that due to his amazing portrayal of theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, Redmayne may also get his first Oscar nomination.
Redmayne said, “As an actor, if you're lucky enough to tell interesting stories about interesting people, then that's a dream. But when they touch a nerve or connect people, that's even better, so it does feel like an extraordinary thing. I'm just really happy right now,” said Redmayne in an interview with People magazine.
