‘Thor: Ragnarok’ To Start Filming At Queensland In January 2016
Marvel Cinematic Universe Flick “Thor: Ragnarok” will start developing its pre-production and photography in January 2016. The official statement came out recently from the government of Australia stating that the shooting will commence from June next year at Queensland and studio at Gold Coast. According to Comic Book, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk stated in an interview that, this comes as a privilege for Queensland to get Thor exclusively filmed in this region. She further mentioned that the production is said to spend about $100 million AUD in the region and will also employ about 750 crew members from the region itself. The region has definitely emerged as a prime destination for the film makers worldwide.
The Marvel Executive and Co-President Louis D’Esposito also praised the diversity of the region stating that the studio is very happy to land at such an incredible location. He added that the Marvel is thankful to the Australian government for their extended support. The movie is said to be filmed Village Roadshow Studios and different locations of Queensland.
“Thor: Ragnarok” is based on the script of Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle who are well known for their creation of X-23 mutant character directed by Taika Cohen who has been nominated in Academy Awards for “Two Cars, One Night” in 2004.
“The Avengers” actor Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as Thor in “Thor: Ragnarok” along with “Mark Ruffalo” as Bruce Banner/Hulk. “Thor: Ragnarok” will hit the theaters in November 2017.
