Tiger Woods Uncertain Of His Golf Career Due To Injuries; Says ‘I’m Hoping That I Can Get Back’
Tiger Woods is a household name in the elite world of the golf competition. Numerous titles are under his name including various records broken. However, even the multi-titled champion has to face the inevitable end of his career. He is enduring certain injuries which limit now his movements. Is it really his time to say goodbye to playing golf?
According to CNN, Woods has no clues as to when he will return to playing and admits that even his medical team hasn’t given him any definite answer yet.
“I have no answer for that. Neither does my surgeon or my physio. I listen to my surgeon, I listen to my physios, and we just take it day by day. Hopefully, the day by day adds up to something positive here soon. There is no timetable for this and that’s been the hardest mindset adjustment is that I don’t know. Where is the light at the end of the tunnel? I don’t know, so that’s been hard,” Woods said.
Chicago Tribune reported that he is suffering from injuries in his knee, elbow, Achilles, and back. Imagine the physical pains he is going through, hence, even his motivation and spirit to play again is dampened as he realizes the reality.
“There is nothing I can look forward to, nothing I can build towards. I walk. And I walk … I’m just walking, and that’s it. I would like to be able to get to that first (bending over to pick up the ball). If I can get to that, then we can start talking about golf.”, he admits.
Despite all these, Woods is not totally shutting down all his hopes for a possible return. He said, “But I’m hoping that’s not it. I’m hoping that I can get back out here and compete against these guys. I really do miss it.”
Will Tiger Woods still manage to come back in his best shape?
