Tina Knowles Revealed Solange Wedding Details [WATCH VIDEO]
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell and Kevin Frazier, Tina Knowles recalled her favorite moment at Solange‘s wedding day in New Orleans. Solange tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, music video director Alan Ferguson. Mother Knowles also revealed why Beyonce wasn't a bridesmaid and announced plans to release a new book. According to Entertainment Tonight, this is the second wedding for Solange. She married Daniel Smith in February 2004 when she was 17. She divorced him three years later. She has a son named Julez with him. Click here to see the wedding photos. The couple exchanged vows at the Holy Trinity Church in New Orleans in front of 100 guests including family and friends.
Solange is best known for her House of Deréon, while Tina Knowles by Miss Tina. The American businesswoman and fashion designer is the mother of singers Beyoncé and Solange Knowles. She is the ex-wife of Matthew Knowles, the manager of Destiny's Child as well as Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland until 2011.
She said that the entire guest shed tears when the couple exchanged the vows.
“There wasn’t a dry eye on the place. They were just so heartfelt and I just think the wedding epitomized Solange as a person, and her and Alan’s artistic flare,” said Knowles in the ET interview.
Tina spoke about her youngest daughter’s hives breakout.
“[Solange] went through the wedding and the sit-down dinner and she was just fine, and then they had a second line in the streets of New Orleans and she was dancing so hard, I think she just go overheated. And the seafood, I think she had a reaction to,” recalled Tina.
Fortunately, medicine helped out. Then, Solange and her 10-year-old son danced to the song "No Flex Zone."
Mother Knowles is also promoting her new curated collection for Cache and planning to publish her book. However, she didn’t reveal the theme of her writing.
"Everything in my life happened for a reason. Even when I thought they were the worst things in the world, they turned out to be the best things in the world. If you're going through something, just know that you're gonna come out on the other side. You're going through it — you're not stuck there forever. That's what the book is about," said Tina.
