TNT Releases Newest Teaser to ‘The Librarians’ [WATCH VIDEO]
On the heels of the premiere of TNT’s “The Librarians” franchise, the cable network has released its newest teaser. The show will be rolling out its first season this coming Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014. Check out the details below.
From the successful franchise delivered by Dean Devlin, John Rogers and Marc Roskin of Electric Entertainment comes this brand new adventure series, “The Librarians.” It will star Rebecca Romijn (“X-Men”), Christian Kane ("Leverage”), Lindy Booth (“The Philanthropist”), John Kim (“The Pacific”) and John Larroquet ("Night Court"), with Noah Wyle (“Falling Skies”) in a recurring role.
The show is about an organization whose task is to protect the world’s mystical and magical secrets. The group's homebase hidden under the Metropolitan Public Library. The organization fights any threats from supernatural beings or protect and recover artifacts on top of solving mysteries of the ancient world. In the hidden library, the group has kept the Ark of the Covenant, the Excalibur, Judas’ Chalice and the Spear of Destiny, among others, with one person assigned as the premiere caretaker, ensuring that these items don’t end up with the wrong people.
In the last 10 years, this person was Flynn Carsen (Wyle), otherwise known as the Librarian. Flynn, a nerd who holds 22 academic degrees, has an extensive knowledge of ancient artifacts despite lacking in social skills. With his role as the Librarian, Flynn has transformed from a bookworm into a swashbuckler and protector of the world’s secrets.
But this task is simply too great to handle, so Flynn has enlisted the help of trusted and highly skilled people. This group of unique individuals includes Eve Baird (Romijn), Jacob Stone (Kane), Cassandra Cillian (Booth) and Ezekiel Jones (Kim). Each of these individuals offers something important to the group. Eve is a counterterrorism agent, while Jacob is an oil rig worker with a superlative 1Q and an encyclopedic memory. Cassandra has the gift for sensory hallucinations or synthesis, while Jones is a master of the latest technologies.
Helping Flynn oversee the group’s activities is Jenkins (Larroquette), who is also an expert of ancient artifacts. Jenkins has been working in the Library for many years. The group’s adversary is Dulaque (Matt Frewer), an immortal who heads a cult.
