As reported by Variety, the duo is set to work on a combined project sci-fi action “Luna Park” in collaboration with Paramount Picture. It will be very premature to speculate anything about story line as the movie is still underway of its first draft.
All we know is that “Luna Park” is about the group of traitors who go to the moon in order to steal a rare source of energy. We might see “The Last Samurai” in the leading cast of the movie, well as of now nothing has been officially announced on star cast.
“Luna Park” has not been a new name in Hollywood. It is a long pending project since 2007 which initially was planned with Jake Gyllenhaal, which later went on to talks’ with actors like Chris Evans who has played “Captain America” and “The Amazing Spider-Man” actor Andrew Garfield in 2011. The financer Skydance Productions, moved out the project due to over budgeting and hence nothing went ahead since then.
The huge fan following of Tom Cruise will definitely pull the audience to the theatre so it’s win-win deal for the actor-director duo. His latest movie “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” has been a record crusher at the box-office with approximately making $512.5 million.
