Tom Cruise skips role from ‘The Magnificent Seven’
Actor Tom Cruise is no longer going to be part of the upcoming movie, The Magnificent Seven. The movie is a remake of John Sturges’ classic western movie. Cruise was set to play the role of one of the cowboys in the film. The star has been kept busy with other projects, “Edge of Tomorrow” which he has just recently completed and is now setting his sights in preparing for his next Mission, “Mission impossible V” and another movie, “Go Like Hell” in which he will be working alongside the recently turned 50 star Brad Pitt.
However, the departure of Cruise has not affected the film’s production and it is still on track, though John Lee Hancock has been tapped to re-write the script for the movie originally drafted by Nic Pizzolatto who wrote HBO’s upcoming miniseries “True Detective” starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
The movie, The Magnificent Seven is a re-make of the 1954 classis, “Seven Samurai.” The movie is about a story of 7 cowboys hired to protect a small village in Mexico from a group of bandits.
