Tom Hardy Shuts Down a Reporter After Being Asked About his Sexuality
Everyone is aware that Tom Hardy is a great actor. After having impressed everyone with his performances in movies like “The Dark Knight Rises,” “Inception” and “Mad Max: Fury Road,” the actor himself seemed a bit unimpressed when he was asked about his sexuality in the press conference held at the Toronto International Film Festival.
According to Daily Mail, Tom was at a press conference for his latest movie “Legend” when he had a rather awkward conversation with one of the journalists who asked him about his sexuality. Tom appeared a bit confused and for the same reason he sought some clarification from the journalist as to what he was trying to ask. The whole issue basically started when a journalist named Graeme Coleman asked the “Legend” actor about whether he finds it hard for celebrities to talk about their sexuality. Naturally the question seemed a bit confusing and Tom asked the journalist as to what he was talking about? Graeme further went on to point out the comments Tom made in an interview with Attitude magazine back in 2008. Still visibly confused, Tom this time asked Graeme what his question was. The actor then quickly enquired if the journalist was asking him about his sexuality to which he replied by saying “sure.” Finally understanding the question a bit, Tom questioned him back by asking “why? Ultimately getting no response from the journalist, Tom simply said “thank you” and ended the conversation.
Tom would definitely consider that as the most awkward conversation he has had in recent times with someone from the media. Intouch Weekly added the comment that the journalist made. The comment described Tom’s sexuality as ambiguous; perhaps that’s when the conversation went awkward. In his latest movie “Legend,” Tom plays the role of twin gangsters Ronald and Reginald Kray, who terrorized the City of London back in the 50’s and 60’s.
