TOUCHING MESSAGE BY MISS COLOMBIA AFTER MISS UNIVERSE FALLOUT
After the initial storm is over, Miss Colombia, who became Miss Universe for few minutes is reflecting on her experience of being crowned by mistake.
On Tuesday, the runner up expressed her thanks to followers and supporters who have extended their strength and support to her during the difficult phase of her life. In the lengthy message that she wrote on Instagram she mentioned that she is really grateful that she has the support of not only one country but people from all across the globe. She further mentions that everyone’s destiny is written beforehand and it was destined to happen to her this way. She said that she feels great for having bought happiness to the people of her country for few minutes and because of that Latin Community and Colombia are in news in every corner of the world.
Although she did not win the title, she offered her congratulations to Miss Philippines and the people of the country for the win. She further added that they must be incredible happy after the win. She chooses to end the note philosophically by writing “Life continues and in the future we will find out why things happen the way they happen.”
The fashion model and TV host who celebrates her birthday on Christmas day shared two posts in Spanish and English with pictures from Miss Universe event held on Dec 20th.
After the event got over, Gutiérrez was seen going to Miami to spend some quite time with family. She wants to unwind during the festive season and has plans to address the media once she is back from the holidays and return to her country Colombia, a source told People.
Miss Colombo was heartbroken at the incident of de-crowning that happened on 20th December. She later shared some pictures of her wearing the crown and wrote “This moment will always be with me #missuniverse #misscolombia #backtoback Lo logramos COLOMBIA!”. Steve Harvey, who had committed the blunder by erroneously announcing Miss Colombo the winner of the title Miss Universe, went to the runners up in person and apologized profusely. He even took to twitter to apologies Miss Colombo and Miss Philippines.
