Another Universe seems to be built under by director Jon M. Chu’s godly ambition to create a cinematic universe like DC and Marvel Cinematic Universe. This includes some of the featuring of some toy companies’ property.

This will mainly be the integration of Hasbro Properties “Jem and the Holograms”, “Transformers” and “G.I. Joe”. He believes that this three can be turned into one hit blockbuster, Aceshowbiz reported. It has also been reported that mixing “Jem and Holograms” with “G.I. Joe” and “Transformers” is going to be an interesting move for it can bring a different take on the movie. The possibility of this movie can happen is not impossible and if does, Jem’s Robot Synergy can certainly help with elite military unit and the robotic characters to win against Cobra and the Deceptions.

On the other hand, Director Chu expresses his plan to take it slow and first work on smaller scales; he also wanted to focus on what he is working on for now. He stated that he is not closing his doors in creating such world but he still needs to focus on what he has now.

Talking about what the director has recently worked in, “Jem and the Holograms” 80’s cartoon of adaptation of his has been lined up in 2015’s box office flop. Setting aside ‘Fantastic 4’, the said movie earned over $1.3 million dollars in over 2,000 theaters, The Verge reported. Together with the “Jem and the Holograms” is Zac Efron’s “We are Your Friends” earning $1.7 million in the opening weekend while both of the film cost $5 million dollars to make.

It has been speculated that these flops happened because basically, ‘WAYF’ and Jem has the same structure in this cliché. The outlet reported that both films courted internet savvy teen audience but forgot the cynicism that the demographic requires.
