Tribeca Film and Well Go Co-acquire Scott Foley’s Directorial Debut ‘Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife’

Tribeca Film and Well Go USA Entertainment has both acquired rights for North American Distribution of  Scott Foley’s “Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife.” Read on to learn more about this story.

According to the Hollywood Reporter (THR), Tribeca Film and Well GO USA has secured joint rights for Scott Foley directed pic “Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife.” The dark comedy pic written by Foley will also be his directorial debut and stars Amy Acker, James Carpinello, Dagmara Dominczyk, Marika Dominczyk, Donald Faison, Greg Grunberg, Nicollette Sheridan and Patrick Wilson about a set of friends who would do anything to help their buddy get away from a terrible relationship.


Everyone hates Ward’s wife. Everyone, even Ward. After numerous conversations and ruminations on the subject amongst Ward’s group of friends, a fortuitous accident leads to his wife’s death, a whole new world of problems and possibilities arise.

“Patrick, James and I are thrilled that our passion project has garnered so much interest. Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife is a movie that we’re all very close to, and we know that Tribeca Film and Well Go USA is the perfect home for our film,” said Foley to The Hollywood Reporter.

Foley is known for his roles in TV shows such as “The Unit” and “Felicity,” and in films such as “Scream 3.” He has also made appearances in the series “Dawson’s Creek,” “House,” “Scrubs,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Scandal.” “Let’s Kill Ward’s Wifemarks his directorial debut and stars Donald Faison, Amy Acker, Nicollette Sheridan, Patrick Wilson and his real-life wife Marika Doninczyk.

Tribeca Film’s Geoff Gilmore further noted that Foley is leading an ensemble cast Gilmore also described the film as “playful, funny, even slightly perverse look at marriage and friends.”

“Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife” is directed and written by Scott Foley and co-produced by Wilson and Carpinello’s Lost Rhino Films and Joe Hardesty. It is set to release on VOD platforms in December 2014 and a theatrical release in January 2015.
