Tristan Thompson Not Happy With Cleveland Cavaliers’ Offer; LeBron James Wants Him For The Team
Under the leadership of 56-year-old former professional basketball player, David Blatt, the present head coach of Cleveland Cavaliers, the initial year of LeBron James’ return to the team commenced with a tad rocky, but his remarkable midseason moves strengthened the team and pushed it to the NBA Finals. But the journey isn’t completed yet. The team is contemplating to bring back most of that roster for this season, but Tristan Thompson is still not included for his impending contract.
According to SB Nation, going back to the offseason for the Cleveland Cavaliers was notable with the requirement of bringing back its free agents. Hence, the team took the initiative to sign deals with Kevin Love, J R Smith, Matthew Dellavedova, Iman Shumpert and James Jones except the 24-year-old Thompson whose joining with the team is not highly expected yet.
However, a recent news has been published by Rookies And Rumors that claimed that Thompson is all set to end up earlier probabilities of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He will reportedly make his decision soon before the season starts in two weeks.
“…Thompson and the Cleveland organisation (are) struggling to reach an agreement in their contract negotiations. These negotiations have been heading in the wrong direction, and this was epitomised when Thompson’s posters were removed from the Cleveland stadium and his merchandise was removed from the Cavs store,” the sports blogpost reported.
A photograph was posted by LeBron of himself with Thompson after he pitched the matter and wanted the Cleveland Cavaliers to just get the deal done with him. But Thompson’s refusal to accept the offer has watered LeBron’s wish. It is said that Thompson is actually not happy what the team is offering to him as he feels that he is being treated as an outsider.
If Tristan Thompson is preparing to look elsewhere, he can sign deal with the teams like Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers or Phoenix Suns, which are presently trying to fill the voids.
