TV Choice Awards 2014 Winners [WATCH VIDEO]

The 2014 TV Choice Awards was held  on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at London Hilton on Park Lane Hotel. Multitude of stars put on their best ensembles and headed for the said event. Read on to find out who the winners are at the 2014 TV Choice Awards.

Voted for by the public, the Television Choice Awards is presented in a range of categories, from Best Talent Show to Best Soap Actor.  Lindsey Coulson has been named Best Soap Actress this year. She plays cancer patient Carol Jackson in the BBC One soap — won the Best Soap Actress award for her role, pasting “Coronation Street’s” Julie Hesmondhalgh and Michelle Keegan and “Hollyoaks’” Nikki Sanderson.


“To all the wonderful women whose stories I tried to add to the story… I don’t believe in best actress. I work with great women,” said Lindsey upon receiving her award.

Danny Dyer won as Best Soap Actor. He has beaten his co-star Adam Woodyatt, “Coronation Street’s” David Nielsen, and “Hollyoaks'” Kieron Richardson. Dyer joined the show as Mick Carter last Christmas, alongside Kellie Bright, Sam Strike, Maddy Hill and Danny-Boy Hatchard as the Carter family.

“EastEnders” also won the Best Soap award, as well as a special “Gold Award,” to mark its upcoming 30th anniversary. Here is the complete list of   winners:

  • Best New Drama – “Happy Valley”
  • Best Drama Series – “Sherlock”
  • Special Contribution to Television – “EastEnders”
  • Special Contribution to Television – “Ant and Dec”
  • Best Actor – Benedict Cumberbatch, “Sherlock”
  • Best Actress – Sarah Lancashire, “Happy Valley”
  • Best Comedy – “Benidorm”
  • Best Reality Show – “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!”
  • Best Talent Show – “Britain’s Got Talent”
  • Best Entertainment Show – “Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway”
  • Best Factual Entertainment and Lifestyle Show – “Educating Yorkshire”
  • Best Daytime Show – “The Jeremy Kyle Show”
  • Best Food Show – “Gordon Ramsay’s Home Cooking”
  • Best International Show – “Game of Thrones”
  • Best Soap Actor – Danny Dyer, “EastEnders”
  • Best Soap Newcomer – Kirsty-Leigh Porter, “Hollyoaks”
  • Best Soap Actress – Lindsey Coulson, “EastEnders”
  • Best Soap Storyline – Hayley’s Cancer, “Coronation Street”
