‘Tyrant’ Season 2 Recap: ‘The Awful Grace of God’

The latest episode of “Tyrant” Season 2 Episode 7 “The Awful Grace of God” was full of tears and tragic deaths. Read below for the full recap:

Jamal seeks military victory and Rami was there to help him out, of course, by assembling an army but just before everything falls into place for the Abuddin “royals” Nusrat collapses and it turns out that it’s due to pregnancy complications. The baby died and this left Ahmed in an emotional state while Nusrat was shattered and said that the baby was the only one that’s keeping her alive.

We all know what she’s really talking about, though. She wants the baby for leverage but now that the baby is gone she feels lost. With the loss of the baby, Jamal thinks that God is punishing him for killing his brother, Bassam. Leila was immediately on his aid to tell him that it’s not God punishing him and that as president of Abuddin, he really had to make hard choices most of the time. However, Jamal still feels bad so Leila took it to her own hands to make something happen by going to Rami.

Leila said that Rami gained victory, and he did via an airstrike that almost took Bassam’s life in Ma’an. By then, Leila thought that everything was in order but Jamal hadn’t snapped out of his poor emotional state and still thinking that he would get more punishments from God anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Sammy went back to the palace to get Jamal give him some of his inheritance money and he did get the money, so he went to Yasser to give the money for Abdul to be freed. But Yasser told him that it doesn’t matter anymore because people in Ma’an are dead. Sammy couldn’t believe it and we were then taken to the truth about why Abdul went to Ma’an. It turns out that he was trying to find work there so he could move to America to be where “his heart” was.

Since Sammy’s money can’t be used anymore for Abdul’s freedom, one of the grieving men who lost a family member in the attack, offered him a deal: to give his money to fund the anti-Caliphate freedom fighters. He was hesitant at first until he saw the gruesome videos of the men’s deaths.

Meanwhile, Bassam is still alive, though and he has to kill Daliyah as she has gone mad and it’s the only way for him to be freed.
