‘Underworld: Next Generation’ Update: Shoot Starts in Prague With Main Lead Kate Beckinsale
The life of the underworld is all set to coming to picture again as shooting for the fifth installment in the “Underworld” series has begun and once more the main character Kate Beckinsale will be seen reprising her character as Selene. Read for more updates.
As confirmed by Sony Pictures Entertainment, the team has started shooting for the movie in Prague which will last up to ten weeks and covers other areas of Czech too. It was also revealed that Beckinsale completed the star cast which also has Theo James and Charles Dance reprising their roles as David and his father, the elder Vampire namely Thomas, respectively.
Other famous faces who got attached to the franchise are “Outlander” fame Tobias Menzies who will be seen in the character of new Lycan leader, “X-Men: First Class” fame James Faulkner will also be seen portraying an important character about which nothing has been revealed yet. BBC’s “A Scandal in Belgravia” fame Lara Pulver, BBC’s “Merlin” fame Bradley James and “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” fame Peter Andersson’s names have already been confirmed by Sony.
This movie will be a main directing debut project for Anna Foerster as previously she worked as visual arts director, second unit director in many films and head director of numerous Television shows. The screenplay for the movie titled “Underworld: Next Generation” was written by Cory Goodman.
Speculations are also rife related to James taking charge as the young blood of the Vampire and werewolves’ community following the end of Beckinsale’s character, but no confirmation has come yet in this regard.
