Once Upon a Time Midseason Premiere Recap: Darkness on the Edge of Town
The midseason premiere of “Once Upon a Time” Season 4, Episode 13 “Darkness on the Edge of Town” has introduced more villains because one villain just won’t do. In comes Maleficent played by Kristin Bauer bon Stratten, Ursula by Merrin Dunger and Cruella de Vil by Victoria Smurfit. Read on for more details.
So, Rumple got all of these three villains together because he needs their skills to secure a dark curse. Of course these villains want something in return and Rumple promised them that the curse would help them get their happy endings. The spell is in a mountain and protected by magical obstacles that are very lethal.
The villains were able to cope with the obstacles. It was until they met the final one, the Chernabog, a winged monster. Upon seeing that, Rumple ran away and abandoned the three villains but luckily the three were able to escape.
The scene changed and we found out that Rumple has been living with Ursula. Then, he got an email and took Ursula to Long Island where they met with Cruella. Cruella was about to lose everything because her husband is being taken away by the police. Rumple told her that she could help her get whatever she had lost.
So, they all went to Storybrooke. When they got to the Normal World side of the town line, they called Regina and convinced her that they are not evil anymore and to let them come in. Regina almost didn’t let them in until they said the Chernabog word. It caused havoc as well in the streets of Storybrooke.
The villains made a deal with the good guys, namely Regina and Emma. They said that if they help them get rid of the Chernabog they will let them in. So, off they went and they were able to get rid of the winged monster and after that they welcomed Ursula and Cruella in.
