‘The Vampire Diaries’ To Be Aired On New Timeslot; Nina Dobrev’s Exit Affected Show’s Popularity
As “The Vampire Diaries” season 7 is progressing, fans are wondering as to whether there be any season 8 to the TV show? Is it Nina Dobrev’s exit that is stopping creators to air “The Vampire Diaries” season 8? Read the complete story!
“The Vampire Diaries” has been provided a new timeslot just two weeks back. From 29th January onwards, viewers can watch the show on every Friday at 8 pm, reports Venture Capital Post. Apart from changing show’s timing, the creators are also thinking about various factors that have affected its popularity.
Since Nina Dobrev left “The Vampire Diaries”, there are less numbers of viewers who want to watch the show. Viewers loved watching Elena Gilbert in the show and they don’t want to see Damon Salvatore or Stefan Salvatore with any other woman. They were fond of The Damon, Elena and Stefan triangle. Stefan is now seen with Caroline in the series. But Stelena and Delena lovers still want to see their favorite couple return to the show.
Meanwhile, Ian Somerhalder, who is believed to be responsible for Dobrev’s exit has something to say. Cambio reported in November that everyone and Somerhalder believed that “it was going to be a huge departure after Elena was gone.”
Somerhalder divulged that he had fair idea that Dobrev’s exit would not synch with the the formula the drama follows. He explained, “by virtue of the fact that it wasn’t a huge leap for mankind” and they managed. He also added, “there were some differences that sort of mixed up the formula.”
So, Somerhalder thinks that they can make viewers love the show even after Dobrev’s exist. Speculations are high that the show would not have season 8. It is believed that Dobrev had left the show to cope with her split with boyfriend, Somerhalder. What do you think fans, do you want to have season 8 without Dobrev in it? Leave your comments below!
