‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 7: Zach Roerig’s Character Matt Not To Be Bonnie’s Love Interest?
After lot of controversies about the entries and exits of main stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, fans will be excited to know that “The Vampire Diaries” is all set to make a come back on the small screen for season 7 with the introduction of new love interest for Bonnie. Continue reading to know more about it.
Since the return of “The Vampire Diaries” star Kat Graham’s character Bonnie from Kai’s prison world in season 6, we have not seen her having a romantic interest on anyone. Earlier, Somerhalder’s character Damon was speculated to have romantic relationship with Bonnie, but that did not settle as Elena (Dobrev) got back with her.
In an interview with TVLine, Graham echoed that her character Bonnie would get new love for her, but we are yet to know his name. But she whispered that Bonnie would not date or grow any romantic relationship with Zach Roerig’s character Matt.
“Matt’s a very nice guy, but I don’t know if the Bonnie that’s finally back — or the Bonnie that’s been hanging out with Damon Salvatore – is anything like the sweet Bonnie from Seasons 2 or 3 who would even be good for him. But I love that Matt is so beautifully human, and I like that they’ve always kept him human,” Graham told in the interview.
Some other media outlets like Design & Trend speculated that Bonnie could grow a romantic relationship with a woman. Graham reportedly proposed this new idea of being in love with a woman to Julie Plec, the executive editor, and it is said that her proposal was not ignored. Graham echoed that the fans can get this twist later in “The Vampire Diaries” season 8.
“It’s not a woman yet, but it’s a little bit surprising. It comes strangely out of nowhere, but it will make a lot of sense. That’s my enigmatic tease,” Graham teased.
