‘The Vampire Diaries’ Tries To Bring Back Nina Dobrev Using Leslie-Anne Huff?
Reports claim that “The Vampire Diaries” ratings are slowly getting behind the rank ever since Dobrev departed from the show which allegedly resulted in a change of timeslot. Is this the real reason why TVD tapped Leslie-Anne Huff, who looks a lot like Elena Gilbert to play as Rayna? Is she a villain or a new love interest of Ian Somerhalder?
According to Australia Network News, Somerhalder’s character Damon seems to be having a lot of steamy scenes in the forthcoming episodes of TVD. Why not, right? Elena is in the casket sleeping peacefully while he’s out there living a lonely life, besides a new character will come to his life who looks a lot like his love of his life.
Is there really a possibility that Damon will see Elena to this new character named Rayna? Well, reports suggest so!
The site reported that Somerhalder gushed about his character’s sex life in his recent interview. The actor admitted that there’s a reason why Damon has a huge bed.
“As long as he can fit up to eight sorority girls, then that’s how big we should make the bed,” he said.
Though Somerhalder did not directly explained why Damon has a huge bed, fans can’t help to wonder that maybe it has something to do with the new villain in town, Rayna, a vicious vampire hunter.
The site noted that no matter how evil Rayna’s character is, she’ll eventually fall for our beloved Salvatore. Adding on, Huff’s character will be introduced in the second half season of TVD.
On the other hand, Youth Health reported that the show’s executive producer Caroline Dries admitted that she is aware of Huff’s resemblance with Dobrev, however, she insisted that it was “definitely a coincidence.”
“We looked at a lot of actors, and I was like, ‘I think she looks exactly like Nina,'” Dries admitted.
But then again, Dries said she never met Huff in person and everyone says, “she doesn’t look like her [Dobrev] in person.”
Is she hired because the creators want to bring back Dobrev in her appearance? Well, it was not the case. Though Huff’s participation was announced shortly after Somerhalder’s departure rumors emerged, it does not mean she was hired just to save the show by playing the look-a-like villain character of Elena.
Caroline Dries said Huff is a great actress and she’s fit for the role. The EP is convinced that once the viewers see her, everything will click.
