Verne Troyer Rushed to the Hospital Due to Seizure in Heart of Texas Comic Con

Well-known ‘Austin Powers’ actor Verne Troyer was immediately sent to the hospital after having a seizure and breathing problem during a fan meet-and-greet at the Heart of Texas Comic Con.

TMZ reported that on Saturday, March 21, Verne Troyer was attending the fan meet-and-greet in the Heart of Texas Comic Con in Waco. Awhile later, he was reported to be having a seizure and was struggling to breathe. In an Instagram post of a fan who goes by the name oqtimusqrime and was at the event that day, she posted a photo of her with Troyer as he was meeting his fans. In her caption, she revealed that she was the last fan Troyer met up with when he had his seizure. Apparently, he was feeling very tired and even coughed up blood.

According to Troyer’s representative, he was sent to the hospital as a precaution. After a series of tests, he is deemed to be in a better condition and was allowed to go back to his hotel and rest. Sometime after the health scare, Troyer posted two tweets, thanking people for their concern over him and that he will be seeing everyone again the next day back at the Comic Con. As of now, the cause of his seizure is still unknown.

With his height of 2’8’’, Troyer is well-known for playing Mini-Me in the two Austin Powers sequels, entitled ‘Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me’ and ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember’. Some of his other movies included ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ and ‘The Love Guru’. He also appeared in VH1’s 2005 reality show ‘The Surreal Life’

Last Tuesday, March 17 in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Troyer posted on Instagram a photo of him wearing a green shirt with the words ‘World’s tallest leprechaun’ written on it. A few days prior to that, he also posted a photo of him standing next to a life-size figure of Jedi Master Yoda from the movie ‘Star Wars’ captioned with “Freaking Yoda’s taller than me”.
