Frankenstein is one of the most loved horror stories of all time. The famed character has seen a lot of adaptations ranging from radio spots to plays to songs and to films. Paul McGuigan’s “Victor Frankenstein” is yet another adaptation on the Mary Shelley’s 19th-century novel and like most of the classic book adaptation these days has been given a modern twist.


Attached with the trailer is a small snippet of McAvoy and Radcliffe saying that they are very, very proud of the film. It went on to say that the gothic film is a very new twist on a very legendary story. The trailer was released just on Tuesday and it has already crossed the million hits mark.

This film stars Radcliffe as Igor. The character was introduced by the parody adaptation of the novel, the 1974 movie “Young Frankenstein.” According to Dailymail, “Victor Frankenstein” will tell us the story of how Victor, a brilliant scientist tries to create a life out of death. However, he fails miserably while his skeptical sidekick Igor is always dubious about their actions.

The film also stars Andrew Scott a.k.a Moriarty from “Sherlock” as a police officer who is keeping a check on Victor and Igor over missing body parts. Victor’s experiment doesn’t go according to plan and an extremely terrifying and morbid creature is created. Jessica Brown Findlay, who got acclaim for her “Black Mirror” episode, will also star in the film.

Igor’s perspective and friendship will Victor will guide the film plot. Apart from focusing on the scary aftermath of Victor’s experiment, “Victor Frankenstein” will focus on the bromance between him and Igor, adding a comic element to the story.

“Victor Frankenstein” will be released on Nov. 25, 2015.
