The Voice Season 6 Recap: Top 8 Live Quarterfinals Results [WATCH VIDEOS]

“The Voice” Season 6 Top 8 results night was one of the most dramatic eliminations – ever! Three contestants were sent home instead of two. Let us fill you in on what happened. Read on forMNG’s “The Voice Season” 6 recap of the Top 8 “Live Quarterfinals Results.”

During the “The Voice” “Live Quarterfinals Results,” which was aired on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, there was the inevitable elimination. Coaches Adam Levine, Usher, Shakira and Blake Shelton fought and pleaded with America to save their contestants, but still we got left with a bottom 4. Let’s move on to their performances.

Kat, Kristen, Audra, Jake performed The Band Perry’s “Chainsaw.” Their performance was great because the four of them performed not to compete with one another, but to really perform for the audience.

Then, Josh, Christina, Delvis and Sisaundra performed Disclosure’s “Latch,” which is a great choice because the song suited all of their voices.

We also had this week’s “Voice Confessional,” which was a very sweet Mother’s Day tribute. The contestants and coaches all talked about their moms, how much they love them, how much they supported them, what their mothers have taught them, etc.

Now, it’s time for the contestants’ solo performances.

1. Sisaundra Lewis performed Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Fee Like) A Natural Woman.”

2. Audra McLaughlin performed The Band Perry’s “Done.”

After the 4 great performances from these 4 awesome contestants, Carson gave America the power to vote for their favourite “bottom 4” contestant with the use of the Twitter hashtag “#VoiceSave.” It was another win for Kat Perkins when she was once again, saved by America. This meant the end for Sisaundra Lewis, Audra McLaughlin and Delvin Choice.

Now, we have our top 5 contestants left, which are:

  • Christina Grimmie
  • Kat Perkins
  • Josh Kaufman
  • Kristen Merlin
  • Jake Worthington
