The Voice Season 7 Recap: October 20, 2014 Episode [WATCH VIDEOS]
It’s the third night of the battle rounds on “The Voice” Season 7, and as usual, we were taken to different levels of performances that we did enjoy so much. Read on for the full recap.
The first to go this night were Damien and Kelli Douglas from Team Adam ,and they sang Amii Stewart's “Knock on Wood.” It was such a powerful performance, and we certainly got distracted by Kelli’s amazing body on that red dress. Gwen also noticed that and even voiced that out before she said her judgment on their performance. Clearly, Damien overpowered Kelli, and he was actually the one who carried the whole performance. In the end, Adam chose Damien, while Kelli didn’t get any steals, so she was eliminated.
Next, we had Jessie Pitts and Ryan still from Team Gwen. They both sang “I Need Your Love” by Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding. Another great performance, and both were so amazing. However, we think that Jessie performed better than Ryan, but Ryan won this round, and Blake stole Jessie away.
It was Team Pharell’s turn, and we had Blessing Offor and Katriz Trinidad who sang “Do I Do” by Stevie Wonder. Katriz has already made such a huge impression during the blind auditions, and she continues to wow us with her amazing voice. Blessing was also a great performer, but Katriz’s voice overpowered his. Pharell chose Katriz, while Gwen and Adam tried to steal Blessing. He chose to be with Adam’s team.
Ethan Butler and Matt McAndrew were up from Team Adam with Coldplay’s “Yellow.” The two handled the song pretty well with their guitars, but Adam chose Matt, while Ethan was eliminated.
For Team Blake, we had Bree Fondacaro and Taylor Brashears who both sang “You’re No Good” by Linda Ronstadt. This was an amazing choice for a song, and we think Taylor really had this round to herself. Blake chose Taylor, while Bree was sent home.
Another duo from Pharell’s team, Danica Shirey and Toia Jones, and they performed Beyonce’s “Halo.” Both have such powerful voices, and the blend of their voices was just the perfect. Pharell chose Danica Shirey, and Gwen and Adam tried to steal Toia Jones. She went for Adam’s team.
