The Walking Dead Season 5 Recap: Forget

Things are stable in Alexandria in “The Walking Dead” Season 5, Episode 13 “Forget.” It seems like Rick and the rest of the crew is finally adapting and accepting Alexandria… well, except for Sasha, Carol and Daryl. These three remain apprehensive while the most apprehensive, Rick, seems to be drawn to Jessie… is this good or bad? Read on for more details.

The episode kicked off with Sasha unleashing her anger by shooting fire out in the forest. She was actually asking for the walkers to come to her so she could shoot them mercilessly. It was because she’s so angry with all the things that have happened to the people in her life. Sasha is having a hard time fitting in with the people at Alexandria because they don’t know what’s lies outside and haven’t dealt with it yet while she has seen it all, lost people and still continues to survive up until this day.

She wasn’t the only one having a hard time adjusting because there was Daryl as well who just can’t wrap his head around Alexandria. In fact, he’s the only person from the crew who hasn’t bothered cleaning himself up. Deanna and her people are watching him closely because of his attitude and the fact that he would always saunter into the woods to shoot stuff. When he did, he encountered Aaron. He was looking for his horse named Buttons who have been gone for months.

Daryl suggested that Buttons may be dead by now. It was because the longer they’re out there, the more they become what they really are.

On the other hand, Carol keeps her act as if she’s the lovely person who’s all sunshine and butterflies and bake cookies and stuff. In fact, she got into the circle of the housewives of Alexandria. She only did because she wanted to break into their pantry and steal their guns so when she and Rick decides to take over, they’ll have their weapons. She finally broke into the pantry. Sam followed her and that’s when we saw the real Carol who was all smiles but giving off a threat.

Rick had a good conversation with Jessie that led to a kiss. It was Jessie who actually convinced that they have a good thing going in in Alexandria. Of course, Rick was smitten by her, which was so obvious the moment he met her (she’s married!). That was when it that made him change his mind because when Carol handed him the gun, he hesitated.

And the most shocking thing this episode? Michonne hung up her sword!
