‘War Of The Planet Of The Apes’ Movie News: Gabriel Chavarria Plays Human Lead Role; Filming Starts In October

According to DEADLINE, Chavarria, who has starred in Universal’s upcoming movie “Low Riders.” The actor is negotiating with the “Planet Of The Apes” franchise to play one of the two human lead roles in their latest installment titled “War Of The Planet Of The Apes.”
Based on the report from ComicBook.com, Chavarria is a popular male lead in “East Los High,” the Hulu’s drama series. He is also appearing in two upcoming films “A Better Life,” and “Low Riders.” His other recent works are “Aquarius,” “Southland,” “Prime Suspect,” “Teacher Of The Year.”
“Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes,” the 2011 sequel of the franchise, made a big hit grossing about $708M worldwide, reported the source. Fox and producer Chernin Entertainment saw a major score and profit with this 2011 sequel. Hence, the idea for a new sequel is obviously not a wrong choice.
According to Wikipedia entry, the producers planned for this latest sequel “War Of The Planet Of The Apes,” even before completing the production of the previous installment “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” Matt Reeves returns to direct the new sequel of the franchise. Reeves and Mark Bomback would be scriptwriters, and Peter Chernin, Amanda Silver, and Rick Jaffa would be the producers of this film. The film’s shooting would start in October in Vancouver, and the film is set for release on July 14, 2017.
