Watch Matt Damon Do ‘Fiery’ Motorbike Chase in ‘Bourne 5’ In All New Photos From Set
Jason Bourne is back, and how! On a police motorbike, driving through streets at reckless speeds, blazing through fire AND rain at the same time. “Bourne 5” puts Damon in the saddle of a police motorbike in presumably, an action-packed chase. As shooting continues in Tenerife, in Spain, the streets were quite literally awash with fire and water. Daily Mail UK has the pictures to satisfy the super-spy lovers amongst you.
In the meantime, Damon was in Toronto International Film Festival, for the world premiere of the excellent “The Martian.” In an interview with the Toronto Sun, the 44-year-old actor spoke about bringing Jason Bourne to a post-NSA, digitally connected world.
“You get national security elements there, and big business like the Facebooks and the Googles, and the hacker community. That kind of convergence,” Damon added, “I feel like it’s in the world we’re living in, a post-Snowden, WikiLeaks kind of world.”
“Bourne 5,” which is rumored to be actually titled “The Bourne Betrayal” after the fifth Jason Bourne novel, reunites Matt Damon with his super-spy character after eight years (We last saw him in “The Bourne Ultimatum” in 2007). Unfortunately, Damon has shot down the possibility of having a Jeremy Renner crossover for the upcoming film, saying that factoring in a whole new character into the story was a “bridge too far.”
“Bourne 5” has an impressive casting roster, with Vincent Cassel as the yet-unnamed villain, along with Tommy Lee Jones, Ato Essandoh and Alicia Vikander. Julia Stiles is reprising her character ‘Nicky.
“Bourne 5” which may now be called “The Bourne Betrayal” is set to hit the theaters on July 29, 2016.
