Watch Rebecca Black mocking Miley Cyrus in new video ‘Saturday’
Rebecca Black is back with a new song called “Saturday,” the follow-up to her 2011 viral hit, “Friday.” She dropped the sequel on Dec. 7, that initially made Rebecca an internet sensation, and then there’s more to it – it also includes a funny little dig at Miley Cyrus.
Rebecca’s new follow-up calls back to that “Friday” lyrics, “Gotta have my bowl, gotta have my cereal.” The singer just slipped cereal out of a bowl that has the words, “Gotta Have My Bowl” written on it, and then it also features some more simple lyrics with lines like, “Yesterday was Friday, today is Saturday.” It’s hilarious!
It also seems that Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” is never getting older. Unlike “Friday,” Black’s latest release is most definitely a parody; just add a batch of Auto-Tune and a healthy portion of lame, and you get Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” video.
The “Saturday” video really gets excited towards the end when a fake Miley showed up to the party with her get-up from the “Wrecking Ball” video. And then a la “We Can’t Stop,” the look-alike twerks in her tighty-whities while celebrations being going around her.
With all that stuff around, Black has really turned out to be a perfectly pleasant pop culture phenomenon. Is “Saturday” better than Black’s debut single, “Friday”? Check out the video below and let us know!
