Weapons Teased by Director David Ayer for Upcoming DC Film

David Ayer is certainly making a good job at teasing off DC fans. The “Fury” helmer, in his Twitter account, posts a photo of weapons that will be used on his upcoming take on Warner Bros.’ “Suicide Squad.” Read on for more details on this show.

Ayer who was attached to direct Warner Bros. take on DC Comic’s “Suicide Squad” is really upping his game on prepping up on the supervillain team-up movie. Ayer who earlier posted a photo of a New 52 comic which may possibly be used as material for the pic, shares another teaser to DC Fans—this time posting a photo of the weapons which will be included in Task Force X’s arsenal, or to be more specific, for use by Will Smith’s character, Deadshot, one of the deadliest marksmen in the DC universe.

Ayer, who directed last year’s “Fury” starring Brad Pitt, is set to take on DC’s Task Force X or more known as the “Suicide Squad,” a team of incarcerated supervillains assembled by Amanda Waller to take on high-risk black op missions and act as deniable assets for the U.S. government in exchange for a decrease on their prison sentences.

“Suicide Squad” stars an ensemble cast who will portray the deadliest villains from DC’s gallery of rogues including Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), the Joker (Jared Leto), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and the Enchantress (Cara Delevigne). Warrior’s Joel Edgerton and Jon Bernthal who played Shane on AMC’s “The Walking Dead” are reported to take up the role of Rick Flag which Tom Hardy and Jake Gyllenhaal passed up on. Hardy walked away from the project due to problems with the script, finding it “too focused” on Will Smith and Jared Leto’s character.

“How to Get Away with Murder” star Viola Davis is set to play Amanda Waller while Ben Affleck who is set to play the Dark Knight in Zack Snyder’s “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is reported to make an appearance on the pic although it is not officially confirmed as of yet.

“Suicide Squad” takes over the big screens on Aug. 5, 2016.
