What to Expect in SyFy’s ‘Killjoys’
Today, SyFy’s upcoming menu of televisions shows shows that the executives of the channel are serious about going back to their roots, and one upcoming show that shows this is the upcoming space adventure “Killjoys”, which will premiere on June 19, 2015. Thankfully, Spoiler TV has released several sneak peeks and several promotional videos to tide the time before these new bounty hunters serve warrants on our small screen. Read on to learn more about “Killjoys”.
“Killjoys”, according to the official website, follows a trio of space-faring bounty hunters named D’avin (Luke Macfarlane), Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) and John Jaqobis (Aaron Ashmore). They operate within “the Quad,” a distant interplanetary system, which is on the verge of a “multiplanetary class war.” However, the trio, as the bounty hunter, are sworn to be neutral, despite the conflict escalating and brewing around them.
According to the official website, Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen), the only girl within the trio, is fun loving, and flirty, and someone who can talk to anyone despite their race or class status. However, she is also described as a mature and solemn woman who is good friends with John Jaqobis (Aaron Ashmore). She also has a painful and shameful past, of which she doesn’t talk about.
John Jaqobis (Aaron Ashmore), according to the website, is described as someone who was thought of as “dumb,” even though he wasn’t, due to his learning disabilities. However, he is close friends with Dutch, extremely loyal to his teammates and is good with anything technological and mechanical.
The last member of the trio is D’avin (Luke Macfarlane). According to the official website, he is described as a naturally born soldier who is sarcastic and extremely loyal to his teammates. In the team, he is the tactician, and good at hand-to-hand combat.
The first look promo released on Spoiler TV gives a clue and a taste as to what one will expect from the exciting new television show.
In it, it shows the trio doing their job. According to the video, their “one guiding code” is just that they retrieve the item on the warrant that is served, no matter what. They, the “Killjoys,” will always deliver their package, dead or alive, as this is how they keep the peace.
Another promotional video shows that despite the fact that an multiplanetary revolution is imminent, they, as bounty hunters, cannot take any sides, and must remain neutral.
The exclusive sneak peek on Spoiler TV shows a fight scene in which Dutch swooped in to save the day with a necklace made out of little robots that were explosive, who then took out the men who were shooting at them.
