Will Lionsgate’s Efforts To Make Blockbuster Movie Out Of ‘Borderlands’ Prove Successful?

Are you a video games lover and get excited whenever a new video game hits the markets? If yes, then what will be your reaction if we say that a movie based on a video game is going to hit the floors soon. Well, talks are going on for a movie adaptation of the famous action role-playing first-person shooter video game titled “Borderlands.” Read on for detailed information.

Lionsgate, the studio which is behind many successful blockbusters, including “The Hunger Games” series, is all set to make the adaptation of “Borderlands” as huge as other hits. To its surprise, the fourth and last film in the Hunger Games franchise “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” has not yet been released but the studio has started preparing for its new big move of creating a movie from video game.

“Borderlands” is a game series which was developed by Gearbox Software with compatibility to PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Xbox 360. Till date the game has earned 17+ rating and is full of mature content like violence, dark and vulgar jokes. So, it is a big question that how much editing will Lionsgate do to make it enjoyable for everyone without losing its true essence.

If we will check the previous records of movies made from video games, we will find that all of them were stopped and failed to reach the blockbuster tag. So, here, Lionsgate has really has to work hard and it seems that the studio has considered all the records seriously as it has already started searching for the best team for this video game’s movie adaptation.

Well, it is not yet announced that how many movies will come under this upcoming franchise, but one thing is sure that if the first one started with good numbers then other parts will surely hit the box office just in the same manner of “Hunger Games,” “Twilight Saga,” “Divergent” Series etc.

So, all the very best to the studio for its new venture.
