Will Nina Dobrev Join Ian Somerhalder In ‘The Vampire Diaries?’
The global fans of “The Vampire Diaries” had a mindset that the show would undeniably suffer and might get a reduced viewership if one of its major actors, Nina Dobrev had left. However, with the recent airing of its most striking episodes of the ongoing season, it seems the series is doing quite well even without the presence of Ian Somerhalder’s former and onscreen lover.
“The Vampire Diaries” includes a plenty of twists in the plot and even a foretaste of what may happen in future. The 26-year old Dobrev, who is also famous for her character Elena Gilbert, is no longer a part of the show.
According to International Business Times India, despite her exit, she is still an important character and showrunners and producers have a hidden attempt to establish the fact that Gilbert will always be Damon’s true love.
The publication also talked about the telecast of previous few episodes that showed Damon to go beyond his possible extent to ensure that Gilbert’s corpse was completely safe in the coffin. He always wanted to keep it away from the clutches of Lily Salvatore and her band of Heretics.
In a conversation with Variety, Nikki Reed’s husband Somerhalder recently confessed that he even had an imagination that season 6 of “The Vampire Diaries” would have a twist in the plot. The twist, according to the 36-year old actor, would dictate Gilbert’s fate and her “huge departure” for the show.
On the other hand, K-pop Starz has placed a report that reveals that while Somerhalder has presumably moved on after Dobrev’s exit from “The Vampire Diaries,” creator Julie Plec may be reportedly all set to move ahead and bring the completion of the series soon. Oppositely, Plec’s latest news has emphasized on the fact that the show would not come to an end soon.
