‘Wonder Woman’ Update: Chris Pine Accepts Role in Gal Gadot Starrer
A big news has arrived in the form of Chris Pine confirming role opposite our “Wonder Woman” Gal Gadot in the upcoming first live-action movie on the lady superhero for which the “Star Trek Into Darkness” fame actor is very excited.
“I’m super excited, of course, Gal Gadot is super talented, Patty Jenkins will perform, and we will shoot in the film … What excites me most is to turn in a movie with a superhero woman. With a woman in the lead role. I am a team with this intelligent, beautiful and strong to destroy the wicked and save humanity. The routine, whatever,” Pine said during an interaction with Premiere Magazine.
When asked about the role offered to Pine, he became mum saying that he is unaware of the things to speak about the film in open. But if we believe the rumors then he will be seen playing the role of Wonder Woman’s love interest and co-worker named Steve Trevor as shown in the DC comics. Before Superman’s arrival into the picture, Steve Trevor was the one with whom Wonder Woman mostly seen.
Though, Steve Trevor made his appearance in the comic was during the time of World War II. It was revealed earlier the movie will be made keeping modern time in mind and will have contemporary interpretation. The lady superhero movie will come on June 23, 2017. It was after the release of “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” which is slated for release on March 25, 2016.
Well, with this little information about Gal Gadot and Chris Pine playing roles in the solo movie and Patty Jenkins of “Monster” fame is on board to direct it, we can go further and wait for other updates. Till then, let us wish the newly formed team all the very best.
