‘X-Men: Apocalypse:’ Everything We Know So Far
So “X-Men: Apocalypse” is the next and final adventure for the younger versions of “X-Men” veterans Professor Xavier, Eric Magneto, Storm, Beast and Mystique amongst others. The movie, which is a perfect mix of both old and young mutants alike, will have big shoes to fill, especially after the success of “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Let’s take a look at every detail that we know about the movie.
According to Cinema Blend, first of all we all have a fair idea of who the villain in the movie is right? En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse is said to be the first mutant in the world who was born in Ancient Egypt and was once worshipped as a God. Known to have God like powers, when he wakes up, he will realize that the world is out of order and hence will recruit four horsemen to assist him. The four horsemen too have been revealed who will be under his spell and will do anything and everything under his command. Speculated to having an ambition of becoming the ruler, he will either kill or make rebelling mutants slave under his command.
Second thing is that we will be able to see the original team fighting against the God like mutant, only some of the popular ones like Jean, Cyclops and Storm will be younger as it has been confirmed that the story is set in the 80’s exactly a decade after the events of “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
What Culture added that the four horsemen responsible in assisting Apocalypse are Magneto, Psylocke, Storm and Angel. With them being under Apocalypse’s control, one can expect an epic mutant vs. mutant fight in the movie. It’s the same reason why Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique has re-united with Professor Xavier because as soon as she finds out about Magneto being hypnotized, she seeks to get some help from her old friend.
Third is Wolverine’s cameo in the movie. Hugh Jackman, who kept on constantly mentioning that he is not a part of the movie, reportedly will be shooting for some unknown scenes and is heading to Montreal for the same.
Fourth is the relationship between Magneto and Quicksilver, which was discussed earlier. How this relationship will play an important part in the movie remains to be seen.
Finally, the final installment in the new trilogy that started with “X-Men: First Class” seems to have it all from action, emotion to drama and suspense. Whether this movie leads us to yet another “X-Men” movie or not will be seen when the movie releases on May 27th next year.
