‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Movie Cast Revealed; Quicksilver Returns
We saw a lot of remarkable sequences in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” This included the scene where Magneto was able to lift the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium. We also saw how the Sentinel gave the final attack in the future. However, there was little argument is Evan Peter’s Quicksilver will be doing a prison breakout making him returning to “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
A photo was posted on Bryan Singer’s official Instagram account showing actors in the set of “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Upon looking at the photo, we can simply see these actors strung up in wires. However, the reality of this is that they’re actually frozen—of course that is from the perspective of Quicksilver. However, we didn’t see the mutant hanging around with the other actors in the set. But how it appears to us and with the caption on the photo, we can confirm that Quicksilver is actually going to be a part of “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
For those who have not seen “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” or has forgotten about Quicksilver, here’s a quick fact. He is actually the son of Magneto and has the ability to be very quick. When Quicksilver is at full sprint, the world appears to be frozen although it just can’t keep up with his pace. That means the world isn’t actually frozen but from his perspective, it’s just moving very slow, reported Cinema Blend.
The sequence for Quicksilver was done using a camera that operates at a whopping 3,600 frames-per-second. Although the camera isn’t featured in the photo from behind the scene of “X-Men: Apocalypse,” it’s pretty easy to speculate that Bryan Singer is also using the same kind of camera.
Currently, the team of “X-Men: Apocalypse” is in Montreal for production. Aside from the important role of Quicksilver returning in the latest X-Men installment, other roles will be played by Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassenbender, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp. Lana Condor, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Oscar Isaac and Ben Hardy will also star in the new X-Men movie.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated for release on May 27, 2016.
