‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ News: Wolverine, Storm & Gambit to Cameo in the Movie
Jennifer Lawrence recently announced that her time as ‘Mystique’ in the “X-Men” franchise is up. While this might be a heartbreaking news for some, it turns out that “X-Men: Apocalypse” will also include Wolverine, Storm, Gambit, and other favorites. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
It looks like we will be seeing Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and Channing Tatum in the 2016 movie, “X-Men: Apocalypse.” According to Cinema Blend, Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine.
The outlet reported that Jackman’s character will cameo in the upcoming “X-Men” movie alongside Halle Berry’s Storm and Channing Tatum’s Gambit.
While there is still no news as to what roles their characters will play in the “Apocalypse,” the outlet noted that Storm might be sharing duties with Alexandra Shipp, who plays the younger version of herself.
While Jackman has always been known for being Wolverine, Tatum will mark his debut as Gambit in the upcoming “X-Men” film after replacing Taylor Kitsch who played the same character in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”
Flickering Myth noted that Tatum’s Gambit will have a solo movie, which is slated for a later release in 2016.
Aside from the news that Wolverine, Storm and Gambit will be included in the movie, it was previously announced that Cyclops, Magneto, Quicksilver, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, and younger versions of Professor X, Best, Magneto and Mystique will also be appearing on the film.
This news about Jackman, Berry, and Tatum came in right after Jennifer Lawrence announced that the “X-Men: Apocalypse” will be her last “X-Men” film.
During the red carpet premiere for her new movie with Bradley Cooper, “Serena,” JLaw confirmed that the upcoming installment will be her last “X-Men” film.
“It is my last one, actually,” said Lawrence, wrote MTV.
It is still unclear as to what happens to Lawrence’s character (Mystique) in the upcoming X-Men film, fans began to postulate if Mystique will die in the “Apocalypse” or if Lawrence was done playing the character.
Bryan Singer will be directing and shooting begins in April. “X-Men: Apocalypse” is set for a May 19, 2016 release.
