‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Reveals Bio-Organic Wings of Angel? Is He The Archangel?
When “X-Men: Apocalypse” was in its pre-production phase, the fans were treated with a brief glimpse at a new (or we can say newish) character that would apparently be introduced in the movie. He is the none other than Warren Worthington III who is popularly called Angel and a team member of X-Men who eventually becomes Archangel.
As we wait for the release of “X-Men: Apocalypse,” the million dollar question is whether Angel would become the Archangel or not.
Warren Worthington II was originally a spoiled brat. He is the son of Warren and Kathryn Worthington who are billionaires. When he was a teenager, he felt like a freak as all of a sudden, wings started developing from the back of his body.
But he soon gets grounded and understands that his supernatural powers can be utilized for helping people out. He thus becomes an avenging angel and is eventually initiated in the team of X-Men by Professor X or Charles Xavier.
In the latest “X-Men: Apocalypse,” British model and actor Ben Hardy is supposed to portray the character of Angel. This is not the first time you will see him on-screen, Movie Pilot reported.
In the movie “X-Men: The Last Stand,” which was released in 2006, the character of Warren Worthington III appeared in a version that was played by actor Ben Foster. Though Angel did not have a starring role to play in the film “The Last Stand,” it was an important role in the movie where he puts up resistance when his father tries his best to make him act like a normal human being.
In the movie “X-Men: Days Of Future” it was revealed that the Sentinels killed his character before the events in the movie took place and so he does not make an appearance there. Therefore at this juncture, things seem to be a little confusing with respect to how Angel’s character would shape up in “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
However, the character of Angel has undergone a lot of alterations over the past years so if a new version of his character is introduced in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” we won’t be much surprised.
