‘X-men: Apocalypse’ Update: Storm Is About To Come
“X-Men: Apocalypse” is possibly going to show the destruction of humankind at the hands of its mighty antagonist – En Sabah Nur. The Apocalypse will propagate and uphold the natural evolutionary order, in which only the fittest survives. But, to add on to the evil, the immortal tyrant would not be functioning alone this time. Read on to get the complete scoop.
The “X-Men: Apocalypse” franchise is walking along the trails of the idea of the original characters from the trilogy.
This installment, Apocalypse, being played by Oscar Isaac would not remain a one man army. He will be collaborating with his own “senitels,” to be referred as the ‘Four Horsemen of Apocalypse,’ reports Screen Rant.
Comic-con this summer, as well as the promotional pages of the flick over the internet, revealed that this evil foursome will consist of Archangel, Psylocke, Magneto and Storm, played by Benn Hardy, Olivia Munn, Michael Fassbender and Alexandra Shipp, respectively.
The writer/producer Simon Kinberg in one of his recent interviews with Empire, threw some light on these characters.
Based on the history of “X-Men” till date, we have categorized Storm as the force that favors the good and the righteous. This time the tables will turn. The storm will seem to blow from a different direction this time. The darkness in the character of Storm will be revealed this time. Kinberg said, “Storm is a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life.” It looks like we’ll get to know about Storm’s tragic and dark origins.
To intensify the plot, we will be witnessing other young mutants too, along with the aforementioned four.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated to hit the theatres on May 27, 2016. Get ready for a dark and evil journey.
