Which ‘X-Men’ Character To Lead Franchise After Wolverine?
It is clearly evident that we will get to see Hugh Jackman as a savage clawed mutant for the last time in 2017 Wolverine 3. For the “X-Men” Franchise, Wolverine has been the most famous character for them.
According to cinemablend.com, as we go back in time and look at the first movie that was released in 2000, the portrayal of this character from Hugh Jackman has made it really famous over the years. Even though “X-Men” were usually some ensemble stories, it is very clear now that in the initial entries, Logan was in fact the lead character.
Over a period of time, the character becomes larger than the movie so much so that it was not possible to take him in sequels. Much to the frustration of numerous fans, the huge amount of time that Wolverine occupied on the screen eclipsed the identity of other protagonists.
With the departure of Jackman, the prominence of Wolverine will probably shrink in the coming movies. This indicates that we might get to see a new mutant hero taking shape and getting into the spotlight. Fans may get to see something new in the upcoming movie from Bryan Singer.
According to screenrant.com, Gambit and Deadpool are expected to come with their new incarnation, but when we take a look at the movies from “X-Men,” there is no confirmation as to who will play the lead character for the upcoming movies. Considering the past, Fox may decide to pull some of the heavy characters for the new movie.
The reputation of Cable makes us believe that he can be a good candidate; however, he is yet to be introduced in the movies. Time travel was introduced in the franchise in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
