Zayn Malik Knew One Direction Won’t Last For Long; He Still Loves Perrie Edwards?
Former One Direction member Zayn Malik, who left the band overnight, left fans guessing as to what happened between him and the band exactly. After many speculations, Zayn Malik has finally opened to the idea of leaving 1D and doing something on his own.
In his recent interview with FADER Magazine, Malik revealed that it was not him but the quality of music that made him leave the band. Malik had always believed in experimenting with music but their label has told them “this only sells, so make this!”
Malik wasn’t finding creative freedom since the beginning and knew that he would leave One Direction. He told, “If I would sing a hook or a verse slightly R&B, or slightly myself, it would always be recorded 50 times until there was a straight version that was pop, generic as f**k.” Did Zayn Malik already knew One Driection won’t last for long?
Malik even revealed that 1D band members Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson did not have any natural chemistry. He revealed, “They won’t naturally go put their arm around each other because they’re conscious of this thing that’s going on, which is not even true. They won’t do that natural behavior.”
Although, Simon Cowell didn’t miss a chance to lash back at Malik by telling Mirror.co.uk that his comments about One Directions are ‘rude.’ Malik still insists that he is in touch with Liam Payne and he understands now as to why he had to leave the band.
Even Payne admitted to not having any time to write songs while announcing that One Direction is going on a two years hiatus. He told SugarScape, “We haven’t really had time to write an album and whereas two years off…Writing’s not really a job, it’s so much fun. We’ve always had to rush it so it’s nice in these two years I’m going to write some songs and see what happens.”
Zayn Malik did not miss a chance to clear things about breaking up with Perrie Edwards over text massages. He cleared saying, “I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message. I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that.”
