“The 100” Season 2 Episode 15 “Blood Must Have Blood (Part I)” aired last Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 9:00 PM on The CW. In this episode, the Grounder-Sky People Army put their plan to rescue their people from Mount Weather. However, as a last resort, President Cage Wallace (Johnny Whitworth) turned to his father for help, which dealt a serious blow to those from the Ark both inside and outside Mount Weather. Read on to learn more about this episode.
Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) entered the harvest chamber and freed the Grounder named Echo (Tasya Teles) so that she could free the others and get everyone to be prepared to receive Jasper Jordan (Devon Bostick), and the others, so that they could fight from the inside when the Grounder and Sky People army enter. However, Bellamy left to help the others who were being hidden by sympathizers within Mount Weather after President Cage Wallce (Johhny Whitworth) broadcasted an announcement so that the others would turn on the sympathizers.
Cage then ordered a door to door search. In the process, Jasper and Maya (Eve Harlow) gave themselves up after the couple hiding them was threatened. As they were being led away, the couple was already killed. The pair were then escorted, only to be stalled by Vincent (Ian Tracey), Maya’s father, so that Nathan Miller (Jarod Joseph), who was with Fox (Genevieve Buechner), could knock the guards out. Vincent then escorted them to the harvest chamber where the others were, while Bellamy, Maya and Jasper went to the last level to save Monty Green (Christopher Larkin).
Outside, Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) received a flask of hyrdrozene which would help them blow up the main door of Mount Weather. Clarke and Lexa’s (Alycia Debnam-Carey) team were supposed to blow up the door within a one minute window, as Raven Reyes (Lindsey Morgan) and Kyle Wick (Steve Talley) were going to cut off the power of the base by blowing up the dam, which was the source of their electricity. Afterwards, they were to act as a diversion while Indra (Adina Porter) and her team would use the Reaper tunnels to get everyone out from the harvest chamber, after which they would sound the retreat.
At the Reaper Tunnels, they managed to sedate the Reapers, and Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) found the door which would lead them out to the tunnels. Indra tells her that she was one of them now. Meanwhile, while they planted and set off the detonators at the dam, Wick killed a guard who had alerted Mount Weather of their presence, and in the process, dropped one of the bombs. However, Raven and Wick figured out another way to make it blow up, and as they set the charges off. The blast then claimed the lives of the soldiers that had come as back up, and injured the two. However, when they finally came too, they were immediately surrounded by soldiers.
As soon as the lights had gone off, Lexa and Clarke realized that they had to trigger the bomb manually. David Miller volunteered to do so, but was gunned down by the soliders at the ridge. Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) then managed to do it, by firing a fiery arrow. Lexa then went over to the ridge so that Clarke could open the door.
Meanwhile, inside the mountain, an announcement informed them that the mountain was going to be on lockdown, which meant that Maya needed a hazmat suit to avoid dying of radiation. They were then interrupted by a noise and discovered that the woman hiding the last twelve children had been killed. This meant that they had to go to level 5, as everyone, including the Ark children, would be there. Monty then appeared and told them that he had hid, and that he had discovered that the Mountain Men knew about their plan, and that the soldiers were headed for the harvest chamber to attend to everybody else.
Outside, Clarke and her men managed to open the door, but to her surprise, only the imprisoned Grounders came out. Apparently, Cage made a deal with Lexa- they would release the Grounders in exchange for them standing down. After Clarke realized that her people would be left inside, she felt betrayed, and refused to leave, even if David and the others left with Lexa, who took Lincoln with her. In the tunnels, after they heard the retreat, Indra told Octavia that she wasn’t her second anymore as she refused to leave without Bellamy. Meanwhile, Bellamy and the others were surprised to discover that the entire harvest chamber was now empty.
Cage then thanked his father for the advice, as Lexa had agreed to the deal that he had suggested. As they knew that there would never be peace until all of those from the Ark had been killed, Cage had a team look for the main group of survivors outside, which included Dr. Abigail “Abby” Griffin (Paige Turco).
