Fans of the CW post-apocalyptic show, “The 100” have gotten an early treat for the holidays as the first teaser for the third season of the series has just been released. This, of course, gave fans a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming third season, which will be airing on Thursday, January 21, 2016. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for the second season and the upcoming third season of “The 100.”
When we last left “The 100,” both the Grounders and the Sky People were able to escape from Mount Weather, but that came at a great price.
Clarke Griffin (Eliza Thorne) ended up killing the former President of the Undergrounders, Dante Wallace (Raymond J. Barry), and together with Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley), pulled the lever that caused the entire population of Mount Weather to die.
Burdened by this, Clarke decided not to return to Camp Jaha, so that she could deal with her inner demons in the woods, while Bellamy stayed behind.
Fans, however, were given an early Christmas treat as, according to TV Line and The Wrap, the teaser trailer for the third season has just been been dropped.
The first scene in the trailer shows a scarred faced Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) being asked about what happened to her on Mount Weather.
Stone faced, Clarke replied that she “did what she had to do.”
Grounder leader Indra (Adina Porter) then informed the Sky People that Clarke is being hunted by “everyone” because of what she did.
Another scene is shown of Marcus Kane (Henry Ian Cusick), who seems to have become a mentor figure for Bellamy, telling Bellamy to make sure that things remain that same as many believe that they are currently living through peaceful times.
Action shots of people fighting, and armies rushing towards a particular place was seen throughout the trailer, and it also showed that Monty Green (Christopher Larkin) has been taken captive once more.
However, fans should take note that the scenes shown in the teaser trailer are only a couple of scenes from the actual full version of the trailer, which, according to the official Twitter account of executive producer Jason Rothenberg, will be released this coming Monday.
