Netflix just dropped a new 13 Reasons Why season 2 trailer to whet the appetites of fans looking forward to the show’s premiere. Back for its second season, the show will return to Liberty High to follow the story of Hannah Baker and her peers as they come to terms with her death. According to the new teaser, “Hannah wasn’t the only one,” hinting at the possibility of more victims.
13 Reasons Why Season 2 Spoilers (Warning!)
While the cast and its producers have done a good job keeping the storyline a secret, there are a few plots that have been confirmed. First of all, Katherine Langford is returning in season 2 as Hannah Baker. Although her character already died in the first season, the trailer confirmed that she will be appearing to Dylan Minnette’s Clay Jensen.
The 13 Reasons Why season 2 plot will mainly revolve around the aftermath of her death and the consequences brought about by each character’s actions. A trial will also ensue as the family looks for justice in the wake of her suicide. However, as teased by the recently released trailer, Hannah isn’t the only one and that season 1’s tapes “were just the beginning.”

It was also confirmed that unlike the first season which was based on the book of Jay Asher, the upcoming episodes won’t have any tapes. Netflix also revealed that like the previous episodes, there will also be a narrator but it won’t be Hannah anymore. Bryce looks to be having a new hookup as well. But according to the network, “Bryce will hopefully get what’s coming to him.”
Executive producer and showrunner, Brian Yorkey, also revealed that Mr. Porter will realize his mistake in handling Hannah’s situation. It can be remembered that the counselor dismissed her claims after Hannah told him about the sexual assault and her suicidal thoughts.
“Mr. Porter, in particular, will be coming to terms with the mistakes that he made, with the ways that he let her down, and will be, I think, very determined not to let any kids down in the future,” Yorkey told Elle in March.
“In fact, I think that his story is, I think, one of the most sort of compelling to me in season 2. And we’ll see a man who is determined to reach every kid who needs to be reached and help every kid who needs to be helped. Whatever it takes.”

Included in the list are Anne Winters who will play Chloe, the new “it” girl and head cheerleader. In the trailer, Chloe is seen with Bryce at a pool party — could she be the other victim besides Hannah?
Bryce Cass will play the role of Cyrus, “an edgy, cynical mischief maker who serves as an unexpected champion of the downtrodden,” describes Variety. Chelsea Alden will be playing her sister, Mackenzie.
