“19 Kids and Counting” starrer Duggar family suffered the most after Josh Duggar’s heinous acts as a teenager were exposed in public after a hack of website Ashley Madison. Jill and Jessa Duggar finally open up about staying together as family and trust issues with Josh Duggar.
“19 Kids and Counting” stars Jill and Jessa Duggar both are married and are with one child. While, eldest son Josh Duggar’s exposed scandal has harmed the status of the family who swore by their traditional Christian values, it has not been easy on Josh’s wife Anna Duggar.
According to NY Daily News, Anna revealed in a news clip that she had the toughest time adjusting to reality. She would wish at times that let it all turn into a bad nightmare and would like to wake up from it.
Josh and Anna together has four children. She further added, “This really, this can’t be true.” TLC had to cancel the show after a petition by fans on Change.org and advertiser’s reluctancy after Duggar’s exposed affair.
However, the “19 Kids and Counting” stars not only suffered emotionally but financially too. TLC paid the Duggar family an estimate of $25,000 to $45,000 per episode but since all the endorsement stopped it had suffered a loss of whopping $25 million a year.
His sister Jessa, who is now married to Ben Seewald revealed something on “Jill & Jessa: Counting On.”
“It is your older brother, someone you love and trust and so definitely there was a period of time in our family when Josh was not to be trusted,” Jessa said.
Jill further revealed on the show that as teenagers they would lock their doors and sleep. Josh had to go for counselling as a teenager for sex addiction. He was reported to be fondling five girls, including four of his sisters.
Jill, who married Derick Dillard, revealed on “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” via Yahoo! News that it was important to get Josh proper counselling for his now developed porn addiction and cheating on his wife. She also revealed that Duggar family even went under counselling sessions to cope up with the shocking revelations.
Jill further added, “We have chosen, Jessa and I can say that we have chosen to forgive Josh and that is an important part of our own healing. If we do not forgive then we cannot move on.”
