200,000 Signatures From a Petition Got ‘Donald Trump’ Fired by NBC

After announcing that he’s running for U.S. President on June 16, 2015, Donald Trump has been making derogatory statements/comments about immigrants and his home network, NBC has decided to end its relationship with the billionaire.

According to Slate, Trump has already given up on his “The Celebrity Apprentice” role during his presidential run. On the other hand, NBC was happy to welcome him back after his campaign and the elections until his comments about immigrants.

“At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values. Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBC is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.” NBC said in a statement.

Just last week, Univision also ended its relationship with Trump. They did it by dropping both Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants. NBC fired Trump following the Change.org petition to get rid of Trump that gained more than 200,000 signatures.

What does Trump have to say about this? Well, he’s threatening to sue both Univision and NBC. “their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court.”

“Their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court.” Trump said.

However, NBC didn’t end “The Celebrity Apprentice” due to the fact that Trump has his share on the franchise.

Here’s what Trump said about immigrants that raised eyebrows and triggered hate towards him:

“The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems… When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime/ they’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Last weekend, CNN asked about his comments about Mexico and he changed his statement saying, “I like Mexico. I love the Mexican people. I don business with the Mexican people, but you have people coming through the border that are from all over. And they’re bad. They’re really bad. You have people coming in, and I’m not just saying Mexicans, I’m talking about people that are from all over that are killers and rapists and they’re coming into this country.”

And when asked if he’s going to change his statement regarding immigrants, well, he’s sticking by it.

Do you think he deserves to get fired from NBC? Let us know by posting your comments below!
