The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards, the television’s most esteemed award, will air on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2014 at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, Calif. It will air on NBC at 8:00 p.m. Read on to learn more about the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards predictions.

The ceremony will honor the best in the TV industry. Seth Meyers of NBC’s “Late Night” will host the three-hour show. Meanwhile, fans could see some unexpected results, as  HBO’s fancy new mystery series, “True Detective,” is standing up against the last season of “Breaking Bad” for the Best Drama Series.

Netflix’s notably well-accepted women’s prison show, “Orange Is the New Black,” might win against “Modern Family.” However,“Modern Family” has won the Best Comedy Series award for the past four years.

In the meantime, “Orange Is the New Black” star Taylor Schilling is vying for the crown against “Veep” lead Julia Louis-Dreyfus.  Louis-Dreyfus has won the comedy actress category two years in a row.  The film stars such as Matthew McConaughey (“True Detective”) and Jon Voight (“Ray Donovan”) are contending with unswerving TV favorites such as Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”) and Josh Charles (“The Good Wife.”)
