November is considered the month of comebacks and it looks like 2NE1’s fan following, which calls itself the blackjacks, is in for a happy surprise. Yes, 2NE1 is not getting disbanded and the girls are coming together again to steal our hearts and shine like diamonds in the Korean Entertainment industry on November 21st.
2NE1 has had a tough year. They have been in serious trouble all through 2015. All was going well till the end of 2014 when the girls were promoting their second studio album, “Crush.” That album had gone on to become an instant hit, topping numerous charts and winning many awards. After the release, 2NE1 made an appearance on the “America’s Next Top Model.” They got much media attention for the show. Their fourth concert tour “AON: All or Nothing” was also a huge success in all of South East Asia.
Then the trouble came full blast at them. Park Bom was mired in a drug trading scandal. Apparently, Park Bom was accused of smuggling drugs into Korea and the Koreans were not amused. At the height of the scandal, people forced Park Bom to stop appearing on the show, “Roommate.” Finally, officials at YG Entertainment came out with the statement that Park Bom had only been carrying prescription drugs and she wasn’t really a drug peddler.
Then there were rumors of tensions between band members CL and Minzy. Minzy had apparently removed her band’s name from her instagram site because she and band leader CL were having a spat. Apparently, even that was cleared eventually and the girls confirmed that they were not fighting.
Band member Dara had her own spot of trouble when she was mired in controversy over a dating scandal with actor Kim Soo Hyun.
But the 2NE1’s have a tougher core and were able to come back together after the hiatus and their official fan club, the blackjacks are delighted hearing the comeback news.
