4 Improvements In ‘Destiny: The Taken King’; Expansion to Revamp Game From the Ground Up
“Destiny: The Taken King” offers four improvements on its release date.

Developer Bungie is revamping almost every detail of “Destiny” with its upcoming “The Taken King” expansion set to release on Sep. 15. Will it maximize the title’s potential? Read on for more details.

“Destiny: The Taken King” expansion is set to offer a new storyline, additional heavy weapon, class-specific arms, and the largest raid yet.

No. 1: “Destiny: The Taken King” New Storyline

Bungie was reportedly aware a lot of fans were complaining over the game’s plot. With the latest expansion, Cryptarch Master Rahool, Gunsmith Banshee-44, and other characters are going to have active involvement on game quests, Screen Rant reported.

Hunter Vanguard Cayde-6 will also be taking an active role in the latest expansion, with new focus on his storyline. Additionally, Nolan North will also give voice to The Ghost, which was Bungie’s effort to maintain the focus of the plot.

No. 2: “Destiny: The Taken King” New Heavy Weapon

“Destiny: The Taken King” expansion is also going to include the killer weapon Sleeper Simulant. It is a type of a fusion rifle that can charge up a blast to pierce through multiple opponents and ricochet off walls and buildings once it reaches its maximum upgrade, Game Informer noted.

However, Sleeper Simulant needs to be unlocked through gathering Golden Age relics. These artifacts are scattered throughout game locations.

Once players bring the required relics to Banshee-44, the artifacts will set off a memory in Banshee-44’s brain. The gunsmith will then invite players on a mission to fix and activate Sleeper Simulant.

No. 3: “Destiny: The Taken King” Class-Specific Weapons

Furthermore, “Destiny: The Taken King” expansion will offer weapons unique to each Guardian character class. But these killer weapons first need to be unlocked through various game quests.

Besides class-specific weapons, various factions in the game also offer certain types of weapons. And instead of wearing an item symbolizing the faction they belong to, players can have the choice to offer their loyalty to it.

No. 4: “Destiny: The Taken King” Largest Raid To Date

Lastly, “Destiny: The Taken King” expansion will feature a new location called Dreadnaught. This will serve as the main focus of the game’s plot as well as a place for new patrols zones, strikes, missions, and others.

King’s Fall is also going to be included and it is said to be the “largest ‘Destiny’ Raid’ yet. Details about it were not disclosed, but Bungie hinted that it’s going to be another raid requiring six team members.
