On Aug. 19, 2015, “5 Seconds of Summer” held a concert at Auburn Hills, Michigan and there was additional than 20,000 attendance. Everything was going according to plan, and then Michael Clifford, the guitarist-vocalist said something in the microphone. He referred to some problem about his mental health and during the break they had sometime time back, he saw a therapist.
According to Billboard, the band moved on to another song, but this moment caught the attention of viewers more than anything else and soon there were gossips all over the social media. A couple of days later, the 19-year-old sensation was asked to comment on the therapy he referred to during the concert.
A month advanced Clifford is here to say that he did not expect that kind of reaction. Among all the four members of 5SOS, he is considered to be the most gregarious. He is the one who is always changing the colour of his hair. The singer says that there is nothing wrong, at times you just have to unburden yourself.
The latest album from 5SOS appears to be inspired from this philosophy. The lead song “She’s Kinda Hot” which is written by Benji and Joel Madden, which let them win the Song of the Summer award at the MTV Video Music.
Calum Hood, the bassist-vocalist in the band, speaks out the lyrics of the song, “she does not get out my head / she has put me on medicine, but she is kindaburning though.” As the song is sung, the mood transforms into a manifesto of a sad kid from an impish infatuation.
According to Anti Music, whatever the reason may be, 5SOS has certainly made its presence felt with their debut release which has been the biggest since the release of Daughtry back in 2006. Their first album sold more than two-hundred fifty thousand copies across the globe.
