As the bid for cannabis legalization becomes stronger and wider throughout the world, more and more people are rapidly changing their stands. The number of people who are for the legalization of pot has far outpaced and outnumbered the opposition.
Several people who joined the campaign for legalized cannabis are familiar and famous faces who have brought their sentiments in the media spotlight. The list includes the likes of famous mixed martial artist and actress, Ronda Rousey who made her stand against marijuana testing, there is, Snoop Dogg, who is a self-confessed full-time weed connoisseur and has invested on cannabis related businesses.
One person who is considered the unofficial representative of all things cannabis is founder of Men’s Warehouse, George Zimmer. Zimmer believes that marijuana’s prohibition is “the biggest con ever perpetrated.” He admitted to following what Snoop promotes: “to smoke weed everyday”, and disclosed that he has been recreationally using pot for about 50 years now.
Zimmer was very vocal about stating that people in power in America are making the wrong decisions by not legalizing the use of cannabis. He was the keynote speaker at the recently concluded Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo in Los Angeles which supports the legalization of the drug.
Men’s Warehouse topmost man is just one of the five large company chief executives who had stepped out and revealed that he is fond of the drug, cannabis. The other CEOs are: John Mackey, co-CEO of Whole Foods Market, Peter Lewis of Progressive Insurance (a long-time advocate until his death), George Soros, billionaire financier, and Sir Richard Branson, the Virgin Group English founder. They all believe that there is no harm in occasionally smoking a bit of hash.
