57th Annual Grammy Nominees [WATCH VIDEO]

Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran announced the first set of Grammy nominations on “This Morning” on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. Williams and Sheeran are also both nominated. Read on for further details.

The first four categories announced were Best Country Album, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Urban Contemporary Album and Record of the Year.

Sam Smith got off to a implausible start with six nominations in the four major categories, for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Stay With Me,” Best Pop Vocal Album for “In the Lonely Hour”   Best New Artist and Album of the Year.
